Pakistani fans share craziest encounters with cricket stars

Although our national sport is Hockey yet our obsession with cricket can't be underestimated. And recently, Pakistani fans have been sharing their craziest encounters with cricket stars. It all started when a cricket account on Twitter asked followers to share their craziest encounters with cricket stars.

"The craziest stories will make this week's episode of our podcast!," read the tweet.

Pakistani fans were quick to share stories, both believable and somewhat unbelievable. Here are some of our favorite responses to the query.

When Shahid Afridi shared his REAL phone number with fans on a flight:

"1996: Shortly after Shahid Afridi’s debut (102), shared a flight with him (Khi - Isb) and my brother sat next to him! He was really nice (& patient) with us fanboys: multiple autographs (incl our shirts & books) + even shared his landline (real number! I called and checked," shared one Twitter user.

This person who YELLED at Muhammad Yousuf:

"During my uni days, someone knocks at my door. I yell “kaun hai” as I reluctantly leave my bed to check who it is. Opened the door in a whoosh and see Mohamed Yousuf there with a smile. He was visiting our hostel on a Tableegh tour. Never yelled at anyone on my door after that," shared Twitter user Sajid Nawaz.

New Zealand's cricket team's visit to Chen One:
"Was exiting the KFC in Pindi on Murree road and ran into possibly the entire New Zealand cricket team entering Chen One. Didn’t have any phones with cameras back then so we shook hands," shared another Twitterati.

Oh!!! the good old days :(

And this person who allegedly caught Moin Khan flirting with a girl over the phone:

"PC Rawalpindi during Pakistan vs WI test series. Shook hands and talked to Inzi bhai. Standing right behind him was Moin Khan, talking on one of those oversize mobile phones of the time. Paid attention to him a bit and realized he was flirting with some girl," shared Waqas.

When Afridi wanted CLARIFICATION:
"I met Afridi in 2004 in Holland.. he asked me where i was from Pakistan. I said from Islamabad. He said “ Tum Shoaib Akhter ki tarah Pindi ke tu nahi aur Isb ka batate ho,” shared Athar Fawad.

OUCH!!!
