Mayor Karachi meets Jamat-e-Islami leaders

KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhter said every work which begins with good intention get success.
"We are approaching different parties for providing facilities to people and solving city problems and requesting them to join hands with us and strengthen us in this endeavor", he said.
He expressed these views while talking to media representatives after meeting with the leaders of Jamat-e-Islami on his visit to Idara-e-Noor-e-Haq on Thursday, said a statement.
Those who were present on this occasion include Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Muzaffar Hashmi, Muslim Parvez, Abdul Wahab, Birjees Ahmed, Dr. Usama, Saif-uddin Adovate, Izhar Ahmed Khan, parliamentary leader in city council Aslam Afridi, DMC East Chairman Moeed Anwer and others.
The Mayor said while taking oath, we had decided that we will serve the city by taking this challenge collectively.
Waseem said he will go to all such parties in the city who have elected representatives and have passion to serve this city.
The Mayor said that he had invited leaders of Jamat-e-Islami to come on the same page for solutions of city problems which they have accepted happily for which he is thankful to them.
Earlier, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman welcomed the mayor at Idara-e-Noor-e-Haq and called it a good omen that he had the spirit and passion for solving problems of citizens.
He assured full support and cooperation in this regard.—APP
