ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif called on President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad on Wednesday and discussed overall political and security situation in the country, Aaj News reported. 

President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have said no obstacle in the way of timely completion of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project will be tolerated.

The remarks came during a meeting between them in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The President appreciated the economic gains made by the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

He said it is a matter of great satisfaction that world financial institutions are also acknowledging economic performance of the government.

The President and the Prime Minister strongly denouncing the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir said the lingering Kashmir dispute should be resolved in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations.

The two leaders discussed matters of national importance. They also expressed satisfaction over the successes achieved under Zarb-e-Azb operation.
