PM condemns US Congress resolution

Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani on Saturday strongly condemned the resolution on Balochistan moved in the US House of Representatives, saying that it was an attack on Pakistan's sovereignty.

Talking to newsmen at the Karachi Port Trust after inaugurating a development project, the Prime Minister said, "We condemn it as it is against our sovereignty."

Replying to a question, the Prime Minister said Pakistan took the decisions of stopping the NATO supplies to Afghanistan, boycotting the Bonn Conference and getting vacated the Shamsi Airbase in the national interest. Therefore, there is no need to be worry about these decisions, he added.

Regarding the issue of Dr. Shakeel, the Prime Minister said it would be tackled in accordance with the laws of country.

Answering another question, he said, "We want to have good relations with all neighbors, either it is China, Afghanistan, India or Iran, as it is extremely important to have good relations with neighbors for stability in the region."

On the issue of Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline, the Prime Minister said, "We will construct the gas pipeline". About oil prices, he said due to global recession, the oil price had been increased. However, the Speaker of National Assembly has constituted a parliamentary committee, which will review the raise in oil prices, he added.
