SC reserved its judgment over RPPs issue

The Supreme Court on Wednesday reserved its judgment over issue of alleged corruption in setting up Rental Power Plants (RPPs) after the parties' counsels concluded their arguments.

A two-Judge bench of the Chief Justice and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain reserved its judgement after Khawja Tariq Rahim, counsel for ministry of water and power, Akram Sheikh Counsel for Kareky power, and Khawja Asif, a legislator of PML-N, concluded their arguments.

The CJ had taken a suo motu notice on applications of Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, Federal Minister for Housing and Khawja Asif, a legislator of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), regarding allegations over RPPs.
