RAWALPINDI : Security forces, during search and clearance operation in South Waziristan, cleared 15 compounds and recovered arms and ammunition in last 24 hours, said an ISPR press release on Monday.
According to the press release, on Jandola sector, security forces conducted search and clearance operation at Bachkan Ahmed Zai near Tajori, Kot Murtaza near south west of Tank and apprehended two terrorists along with cache of arms and ammunition.
On Shakai sector, terrorists fired with rockets and small arms on security forces at Ghundai Ghur Post and Badar Post near Ladha, which was effectively responded.
Security forces conducted search and clearance operation in area around Bishmat Algad on Razmak sector and cleared 15 compounds and recovered cache of arms and ammunition.
Troops conducted search and clearance operation at Darwar Gal and apprehended two terrorists.
In Swat–Malakand, security forces carried out search and clearance operation at Malikabad, Najigram near Barikot, apprehended one terrorist and recovered cache of arms and ammunition.
Two suspected terrorists voluntarily surrendered to security forces at Gagra near Daggar and Maniari.
