Prime Minister Imran Khan has said the government will lodge a strong protest at the international fora against the blasphemous caricatures of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the Netherlands.
In a video message last night, the Prime Minister said the blasphemy against our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is troubling for the Muslims, irrespective of where they live.
He said the whole Muslim world will have to strongly raise this sensitive issue at the United Nations from the platform of Organization of Islamic Cooperation in order to resolve it for good.
Imran Khan said unfortunately a large number of people in the West do not understand the sensitivity and gravity of this issue. He said the trouble is caused by a small minority deliberately to hurt the sentiments and feelings of Muslims worldwide.
The Prime Minister said Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has already started making contacts with his counterparts in the Muslim World in order to take a unified stand on this issue at the United Nations. He said we will be successful in this effort.
