Web Desk: There was a question after the unexpected death of Carrie Fisher, raised that how her character would be treated in the next film.
Now the producers have some answer. They have announced that they will use unreleased footage from Episode VII: The Force Awakens to complete the story in the new film, nbc reported.
The director JJ Abrams said, “We desperately loved Carrie Fisher.”
“Finding a truly satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga without her eluded us. We were never going to recast, or use a CG character,” he added.
“With the support and blessing from her daughter, Billie, we have found a way to honour Carrie’s legacy and role as Leia in Episode IX by using unseen footage we shot together in Episode VII.”
Fisher died in December 2016 after she finished work on the middle installment in the trilogy, “The Last Jedi.” Director Rian Johnson opted not alter her storyline, leaving Leia’s fate to be handled by Abrams.
