Sri Lanka extends lead over SAfrica to 186 at tea on day 2

GALLE, Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka was 111-4 in its second innings and leading South Africa by 272 runs at stumps on day two of the first test in Galle on Friday.

Opener Dimuth Karunaratne, who posted an unbeaten 158 in the first innings, scored 60 in the second to consolidate his team’s position.

Earlier, South Africa was bowled out for 126, its lowest total against Sri Lanka, eclipsing the previous lowest of 168 all out in Durban in 2011.—AP
