KARACHI: Yoga expert Muhammad Azan Khan has said that yoga exercises are being used for management of several diseases like asthma, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, Schizophrenia and others ailments in 66 countries of the world.
He was speaking as guest speaker during a laughter yoga session organised by of Dow University of Health Sciences(DUHS) at lecture Hall-II here. Principal, Dow Medical College, Prof Dr Kartar Dawani and others also spoke.
Azam Khan said yoga had been added as cultural heritage by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) from 2016. He claimed that no drug can cure the disease but control it; however, yoga sessions provide complete treatment of the diseases. He said yoga helps to keep physical, mental and spiritual health of person in discipline.
He pointed out human errors in breathing which worsens with the passage of time after childhood. He explained that yoga breath patron can strengthen person’s physic as well as protect them from neurological disorders.
Azam Khan said a human can control his body properly with the help of yoga and exercises will also help him to become more patience with others.
Later, Azman Khan administrated some laughter yoga exercises and guided some students to perform same. The students felt mental relief after performing of laughter yoga exercises.
Principal, Dow Medical College, Prof Dr Kartar Dawani, said yoga has five to six centuries old history and yoga sessions can many resolve problems of health sector.—PPI
