Web Desk: Former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf welcomed the mandate of the country’s general elections in favour of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), chairman Imran Khan.
In an interview to India Today, Musharraf said that, ‘Imran Khan’s ‘Niyat’ is good and he wants to do.’
“He wants to serve the people, He wants to do career welfare of the people, do good to the people,” he added.
The anchor person asked, ‘Are you hopeful of ‘Naya Pakistan’ that Imran Khan talks about? Responding to which, Pervez Musharraf said, “I think so because he has the sincerity and he has the will. He has good attention and he wants to do.’
When News-anchor prayed that Pakistan will spend more on education than weapon, Musharraf taunted, “And you keep spending on weapons.’
In another interview with NEWS18, he said that Khan was not ‘anti-India’, calling it a perception by the Indian media. Musharraf quoted, ‘I’m very happy. Imran Khan has some problem area, but he is a very honest man, wants to go good and has some good qualities too.”
