PPP’s Faisal Karim withdraws in favor of PTI candidate in Tank

TANK: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate and former Deputy Speaker of National Assembly Faisal Kareem Kundi on Saturday withdrew his candidature for NA-37 Tank in favour of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Jamiat Ulema-e Islam (JUI-F) Chief Moulana Fazl-ur-Rehman’s son Asad Mahmood is also contesting elections from the same constituency.

Kundi submitted his nomination papers from NA-37, NA-38 and NA-39.

Candidate of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal, on the other hand, has withdrawn his papers from NA-3 Swat to support former Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) and president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif.

Hujjat Ullah has also announced to participate in the polls as an independent candidate.—INP
