Web Desk: Hot and warm weather and heat waves not only make you unconscious but can also affect your performance in examination.
A recent study has found a significant link between temperature and achievement and revealed that each 0.5 degree increases above 21C causes a 1 per cent reduction in exam’s performance.
Hot weather reduces the child’s chances of doing well in exams, unless classrooms are air conditioned. The result starts getting worse when the temperature rises above 32C.
Researchers concluded, “Students have more likely to have lower scores in years with higher temperature and better result in cooler years. Therefore, air conditioner should be used to keep classrooms cool.”
