ISLAMABAD: Earthquake tremors were felt in parts of the country including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and Islamabad on Wednesday morning, Aaj News reported
According to reports, a 5.8 magnitude quake hit the different parts of country at 8:25 am for 15 to 20 seconds.
A spokesman of Pakistan Meteorological Department told Radio Pakistan that the epicenter was near Bannu in KP. Its depth was recorded at 10 kilometer.
The effected areas include federal capital, Peshawar, Nowshera, Kohat. Swat, Malakand division along with Manshera, Dera Ismail Khan, Abbottabad, Banu and Mardan.
Meanwhile, at least fifteen students were injured when a wall of their school in Tanchi Bazaar in Bannu collapsed in the earthquake. The injured were shifted to local hospital.
So far no causality has been reported.
