ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar has summoned the chief executive officers (CEO) of all airlines of the country to the Supre Court’s Karachi Registry on Saturday in a case pertaining to fake degrees of pilots , Aaj News reported.
According to reports, CJP was told that PM Abbasi also the CEO of an airline. To which he remarked that Mr Abbasi will be appearing before the in the capacity of being a CEO and not a PM.
A three member bench headed by Justice Nisar observed that the case has been pending for four months as all the airlines failed to submit complete reports, adding that, the heads of all Pakistani airlines will have to appear before the bench to explain the delay.
The CAA told the court that the data of 1,972 employees of PIA were submitted for verification, till now the data of 225 staffers has been received of which 108’s degrees have been verified.
Moreover, the court was informed that 24 pilots’ degrees have been discovered to be fake.
