KARACHI: Former Senior Superintendent Police, Malir, Rao Anwar on Wednesday failed to appear before the anti terrorism court (ATC) in a case related to the extra judicial killing of 27 years old Naqeebullah Mehsud, Aaj News reported.
As the hearing commenced, the jail authorities informed the court that former SSP not feeling well hence he won’t be able to attend the court’s proceedings. To prove Anwar’s ailing condition authorities submitted medical certificate to court.
The court however showed discontent over former SSP’s absence and was also sceptical of his medical certificate.
The court ordered authorities to ensure Rao Anwar appearance in next hearing. In case Rao Anwar fails to appear, then the doctor who issued the medical certificate can be summoned, the court ruled.
