Patients didn’t take bath for nearly two months at a care room

Web Desk: According to health watchdog, patients at a care home in Liverpool did not have a bath or shower for nearly two months.

Inspectors said two patients had gone seven weeks without a bath or shower, while another went six without and two others hadn’t had one for five weeks.

“One patient went two months without a shower.” One person said they only had a bath or shower once a week.

The inspection found the strong smell of urine and patients were at risk if unsafe and inappropriate care. Patients also had no access to social or recreational activities and inspectors were told ‘there was nothing to do at the home’.
