ISLAMABAD: The funeral prayers of martyred Colonel Sohail Abid of the Military Intelligence were offered in his native village in Vehari on Thursday, Aaj News reported.
According to reports, his dead body was dispatched to his native village where his funeral prayers were offered. Col. Abid’s last ritual was attended by his relatives, neighbors, Pak Army and civil officers.
Colonel Sohail Abid embraced martyrdom during an operation in Balochistan, in which high-value target of banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) and two other terrorists were killed.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi expressed his grief over the martyrdom of Colonel Sohail. He said, ‘Strong Pak army will continue to fight with terrorist until they kill the last one.”
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also prayed that Col. Sohail may have the highest place in heaven.
