ISLAMABAD: Ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz have reached the accountability court to attend the hearing into Avenfield case against them, Aaj News reported.

Nawaz’s counsel Khawaja Haris will continue cross-examination of JIT head, Wajid Zia. The case, based on a reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the Supreme Court’s directions, pertains to the Sharif family’s London apartments.

At the last hearing on Tuesday (yesterday), the court had directed Zia to approach the Supreme Court for obtaining the JIT report’s volume X.

Earlier, the father daughter duo arrived from Lahore via a private plane amid tight security. Sharif and daughter were unable to attend yesterday’s hearing due to the bad weather.
