A NAB court in Islamabad is hearing Avon Field reference against Sharif family in Islamabad.
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif along with Maryam Nawaz and Retired Captain Safdar appeared before the court.
In today’s hearing, prosecution witness Wajid Zia will produce documents regarding Avon Field property in the court.
Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz have submitted request for seven-day exemption from appearing in the court. They also provided medical report of Kulsoom Nawaz.
Ali Aimal will represent Nawaz Sharif while Jahangir Jadoon will represent Maryam Nawaz during the exemption period.
Talking to media outside the accountability court in Islamabad, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said all institutions should work within their constitutional domain.
He said that nothing has been proved against him. He said the people have not accepted the judgment against him.
The former Prime Minister said he had also waged a struggle for restoration of judiciary.
Responding to a question, Nawaz Sharif said his party has not backtracked from Charter of Democracy.
