KARACHI: Miftah Ismail, Adviser to the Prime Minister, Saturday confirmed that Pakistan would be placed in grey list of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) in June.

While talking to ‘G for Gharida’, Ismail explained sanctions are not imposed on the countries that are named in the grey list of the FATF but brings them under observation.

The adviser also clarified that China didn’t vote in favour of Pakistan for some reasons, adding Pakistan needs to work out an action plan with the FATF.

He said Pakistan was previously named in grey list from 2012 to 2015.
