QUETTA: At least four Frontier Corps personals embraced martyrdom when unidentified gun men attacked their vehicle in the wee hours of Wednesday, Aaj News reported.
The Pakistani Taliban said it carried out the attack, the second time this month it has claimed a deadly assault on security forces.
The victims had no chance to retaliate, said Abdul Razzaq Cheema, a senior police official, adding that they recovered 108 Kalashnikov bullet cases from the site.
“We suspect the attackers were at least four people who came on two motorbikes,” he said.
Security forces along with rescue team reached the site of incident and cordoned off the area. Bodies of the deceased FC officials have been transferred to a near-by hospital.
As of this late no one has claimed the responsibility of attack.
