KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Monday claimed to have apprehended four accused, including a target killer of a political party, during a crackdown on criminals in the metropolis.
According to Rangers’ spokesperson, the rangers carried out a targeted raid in Bilal Colony and detained an alleged target killer, Muhammad Hanif alias Lamba.
The Rangers said the accused was affiliated with a political party and was involved in target killing, extortion, aerial firing and several criminal activities, said rangers.
Separately, a Rangers’ team conducted a search operation in Mauripur area and arrested three drug peddlers, Fayaz Rehman, Imran, alias Papu and Shaukat Ali.
The Rangers also claimed to have recovered weapons, contrabands and drugs from their possession.
They would be handed over to the police for further legal proceeding, said rangers.—PPI
