Four alleged terrorists killed during encounter

FAISALABAD:Four alleged terrorists of a banned outfit were killed during an encounter with CTD police in the limits of Nishatabad police here on late Friday night.

A Spokesman of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) said here on Saturday that, the CTD police witnessed some suspect motorcycles carrying 7-8 persons at Sargodha road, at midnight and signaled them to stop. The motorcyclists opened firing on the police party.

The police also retaliated and when firing stoped, four outlaws received serious bullet injuries by the firing  of their own accomplices and died on the spot, while remaining outlaws managed to escape from the scene under the cover
of darkness.

The police recovered three kg explosive material, detonators, two Kalashnikovs, rifles, pistols, ammunition,
and two motorcycles from them.

According to initial reports, these terrorists belonged to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)/Jamat ul Ahrar, and wanted
to make terrorist attack in Faisalabad, the spokesman said.

The police shifted the bodies to mortuary of the Allied Hospital and started investigation. —APP
