Court declares Ishaq Dar an absconder

Hearing of NAB reference against Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has been adjourned till 4th of next month.

Judge of the Accountability Court Islamabad Muhammad Bashir declared Dar an absconder in a corruption reference filed against him by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The court directed the NAB to take steps to declare him as a proclaimed offender over his perpetual absence from the corruption trial proceedings.

Dar, who is currently in London yet again skipped today’s hearing despite issuance of non-bailable warrants for his arrest. He has been accused of accumulating wealth beyond his known means of income.


The court rejected the plea of Ishaq Dar for exemption from personal appearance in the court.
