KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Tuesday claimed to have arrested 10 criminals, including a banned outfit member in different targeted raids in the metropolis.
According to Rangers’ spokesperson that the rangers carried out a targeted raid in Jackson area and apprehended a banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi member, Muhammad Zulfiqar.
Separately, a Rangers’ party conducted search operations in Jackson area and detained two political activists, Syed Muhammad Javiad alias Tarzan, and Adnan Shabir alias Manjan. “The accused were stated to be affiliated with MQM-London and were involved in crimes,” according to Rangers.
During crackdown on street criminals, the rangers apprehended four street criminals, Suleman alias Kako, Muhammad Bilal, Muhammad Kashif and Shahid alias Shikari.
The accused were involved in snatching mobile phones, bank robberies and several street crimes in Saudabad area, said rangers.
Meanwhile, rangers’ teams conducted search operations in Gulbahar, Saudabad and Jackson areas and detained three drug peddlers, Abdaal, Zeeshan and Muhammad Karim.
The Rangers also claimed to have recovered weapons, drugs and contrabands from their possession. They would be handed over to the police for further investigation, said the rangers.—PPI
