ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has nominated Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani as a Judge Ad hoc in Kulbhushan Jadhav case in International Court of Justice.

According to Foreign Office Spokesperson, the government of Pakistan has communicated to International Court of Justice about this development.

He said Justice Jillani served as Chief Justice of Pakistan from 11th December 2013 until 5th July 2014.

The Spokesperson said the procedures of the International Court of Justice allow a party to nominate a Judge Ad hoc in circumstances where there is no judge of the court that has that party’s nationality and currently, there is no judge of the court that has Pakistani nationality; whereas Judge Bhandari from India sits as a judge of the court.—Radio Pakistan
