ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi on Wednesday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was using delaying tactics to prolong the Panama case for petty political gains.
Talking to a private news channel, Hanif Abbasi said that the PTI did not have any record of its assets and foreign funding.
He added PTI has collected charity funds from other countries but it didn’t use these funds for charity purposes in the country.
He said PTI Chief could not submit transaction record of 125,000 pounds despite the orders of the apex court. He added even not a single supporting document was submitted in the court, he added.
He said earlier there was no any name of Rashid Khan in the case but now two letters of Rashid Khan regarding his transactions with Jemima Khan were submitted, which were termed irrelevant by the court, he said.
He said that leaders and workers of PML-N have faced several cases and inquiries but now Imran Khan should be ready to face all these charges before the Court.
He said that Imran Khan was using the Panama matter to achieve political objectives and making lame excuses to delay this all process.
He said that PTI’s lawyers have nothing to present in the court and taking turns in the case due to having weak evidence.—APP
