Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son in law retired Captain Safdar reached the Federal Judicial Academy to record his statement before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to investigate Panama Papers case against Sharif family.
Earlier, the JIT headed by FIA’s additional director general Wajid Zia rejected PM’s son in law plea to reschedule his appearance and directed him to appear today on June 24.
Pakistan Peoples Party’s Senator Rehman Malik appeared before the JIT yesterday and provided it details of the inquiry he carried out back in 1990’s against the Sharif family for alleged money laundering.
Members of PML (N) youth wing are present outside the judicial academy in Islamabad to express their solidarity with Captain Safdar.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his two sons and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif have already recorded their statements before the JIT.
