Pakistan and Turkey have agreed to enhance cooperation in the fields of education, culture and arts.
The resolve came during meetings of Advisor to Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui with various institutional heads of Turkey during his visit to the country.
During the visit, several measures were deliberated upon to promote bilateral cooperation in history, culture and arts.
It was agreed that international exhibition of calligraphy will be held in Islamabad in August this year and Pakistani calligraphers will have an annual quota for short training courses in Turkey.
An international exhibition of traditional arts and handicrafts will be organized in Islamabad next year as part of these efforts.
The two countries agreed upon translating the books of history, literature and research into Urdu.—Radio Pakistan
