ISLAMABAD: Minister for Human Rights Kamran Michael has said a scheme to provide interest free loans to under-privileged persons will be launched this month.
He said this while talking to Chairman of non-governmental organization Akhuwat Dr. Mohammad Amjid Saqib.
The scheme is a joint venture between Akhuwat and Ministry of Human Rights.
The Minister said in the first phase applications will be received from three districts of Punjab, including Lahore, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad. The scheme will be later expanded to the whole of country.
Kamran Michael directed that preference should be given to the deserving, unemployed, poor and skilled men and women of the country.—Radio Pakistan
