ISLAMABAD: Government of Pakistan has finally issued permission to former Army Chief of Pakistan, General Raheel Sharif to head the coalition army of 39 countries.
Khuwaja Asif while speaking to a private new channel on Saturday broke the news. He said that, the decision was made after government of Pakistan received a written request from Saudi government, adding that official procedures have yet to be done in this regard.
However, advisory council of member countries will meet in May to discuss and finalize the alliance’s future.
Reports also suggest that, a three year multiple visas have been issued to former COAS and his wife.
