COAS calls for adopting collective approach against terrorism

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa says Pakistan is a peace-loving country and has significantly contributed towards peace and stability of the world.

He was speaking during his visit to National Counter Terrorism Centre Pabbi near Mangla on Friday.

The army chief said those who propagate to isolate Pakistan should see how Pakistan is actually valued and honoured by our global friends.

Qamar Bajwa said that terrorism is affecting the whole world and requires collective response approach.

He said that world has acknowledged our efforts in the war against terrorism and your presence here is proof of this.

He also held meeting with foreign military teams participating in 2nd five-day Pakistan Army Team Spirit Competition staring from tomorrow at Mangla.

Apart from teams of Pakistan Army, 10 foreign teams from China, Indonesia, Jordon, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Srilanka, Turkey, Thailand and UK armies are participating in the event.  The competition is aimed at testing survival skills and physical endurance spread over 72 hours and includes 23 field events focusing on counter terrorism operations.

Army Chief also interacted with foreign teams and highlighted importance of physical fitness and spirit of team work.—Radio Pakistan
