ADB to provide $325m to Pakistan for various power projects

ISLAMABAD: The Asian Development Bank will provide 325 million dollars to Pakistan for micro hydro power projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and solar power projects in the Punjab.

Agreements to this effect were signed in Islamabad on Tuesday in presence of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

Under the agreements, 238 million dollars will be spent in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa while eighty seven million dollars in the Punjab.

The electricity generated through these projects will be supplied to schools and health facilities in both the provinces.—Radio Pakistan
