Pakistan successfully tested surface to surface ballistic missile ‘Ababeel’, said a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the missile which has the maximum range of 2200 km also has the ability of carrying multiple warheads. The missile uses ‘Multiple Independent Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology.

Ababeel, design to reinforce deterrence has the capability to engage multiple targets with high precision, defeating enemy’s hostile radars.
COAS Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, CJCSC Gen Zubair Mahmood Hayat, CAS ACM Sohail Aman and CNS Adm Muhammad Zaka Ullah have felicitated the scientist and engineers on successful conduct of missile test.
President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif lauded the team, armed forces involved in this landmark achievement.
