Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria on Friday reiterated that Pakistan will never allow its territory to be used for attacks against any other country, RadioPakistan reported.
Zakaria in response to media queries regarding terrorist having a safe haven in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) strongly rubbishes the allegations leveled by Afghan government, adding that Pakistan has lost thousands of its citizens and suffered economic losses of over 100 billion dollars due to terrorism.
These allegations were leveled by Afghan government following the twin blast near parliament earlier this week.
According to Reuters, Kandahar police chief Abdul Razeq, who was in the compound when the explosion occurred but who escaped injury, accused Pakistan’s and the Haqqani network, a militant group linked to the Taliban of carrying out the attack, a accusation which was immediately rejected by Islamabad.
Zakaria pointed out Pakistan’s contribution in the fight against terrorism and sacrifices have been acknowledged on the world level and how Pakistan remains committed to peace efforts in Afghanistan.
He said some foreign elements are exploiting the situation and using Afghan soil against Pakistan. The activities of Indian RAW and NDS nexus remains a matter of deep concern to Pakistan, Zakaria rue.
