Govt do not pursues the policy of getting its own citizens disappeared: Nisar

Minister for Interior Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday said that the government do not pursues the policy of disappearing its own citizens nor will it tolerate this.

He was briefing the National Assembly regarding the disappearance of four missing social activists Waqas Goraya, Asim Saeed, Saleem Haider and Ahmad Raza Nasir.

Ch. Nisar said that Punjab Government is pursuing this matter on priority basis and government agencies are monitoring this issue to take the investigations to its logical conclusion.

The Minister said that Professor Salman Haider was abducted from suburbs of Islamabad while the other three activists went missing from Punjab. He assured the house that safe recovery of the missing social activists is the priority of the government.

Nisar said that, number of people have been recovered in the last three and a half years due to government’s sincere efforts.
