KARACHI: Governor Sindh Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui passed away at the age of 78 here on Wednesday, Aaj News reported.
Justice (Retd) Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui, died at a local hospital on Wednesday evening due to illness.
This was announced by a spokesman of the Sindh Governor House in an official statement here.
The ailing governor was hospitalized earlier today.
Funeral prayer of Justice, retired, Siddiqui will be held at Polo Ground in Karachi on Firday.
He was appointed as the 31st governor of Sindh on November 2016 after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain decided to end the 14 years tenure of Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ibad.
Saeed-uz Zaman Siddiqui was a retired Chief Justice of Supreme Court.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, President Mamnoon Hussain and Chief Of Army Staff , General Qamar Javed Bajwa has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui.
