Pakistan’s Ambassador to India, Abdul Basit said that Indian authorities did not allow Sartaj Aziz to talk with media which is very unfortunate, says Pakistan Ambassador to India Abdul Basit.
Basit while addressing the media in New Delhi said that Indian authorities barred Sartaj Aziz from addressing the journalist. He called this step ‘unfortunate’.
Indian authorities abruptly contained Aziz from addressing the media after claiming that there were some security issues.
Following this, Aziz immediately leave for Pakistan where he will hold press conference in Islamabad Foreign Office at 8:30 pm.
Aziz on Saturday reached India to attend two-day Heart of Asia Conference to discuss peace, cooperation and economic development in Afghanistan.
‘Pakistan making sincere efforts to eradicate terrorism’
Talking to media in New Delhi, Basit said terrorism is a common enemy and we should find comprehensive and strong approaches to deal with this challenge, rather than putting blame on each other.
Pakistan Ambassador to India said Pakistan has always talked about negotiations to settle all outstanding issues with India.
However, the offer of talk should not be construed as our weakness as we want them on the equal and dignified basis, said Basit.
He said Kashmir is the main hurdle in normalization of relations between Pakistan and India. Which should be resolved by the will of Kashmiri people.
