It is obvious that smiling makes you look beautiful and it makes you happy too. But the smile must not be fake, if it would be a fake smile then it leads you towards negativity, said a 2011 study. Smiling fake all day will put you in a bad mood at the end of the day whereas a genuine smile can do wonders to a person.

Spend time with Friends

Do not just stay at home or become a workaholic. Try to live in moderation. Try to spend more time with friends, make more friends. Outing with friends will give you knowledge about different stuff and gatherings with friends are often lifts mood as well.

With the word volunteer, the question arises how a person become happy by volunteering? The answer is because the activity is linked with psychology when a person prefers to volunteer, it reduces the chances of depression in him/her. It gives higher amount of satisfaction.

Writing about feelings

Whatever you are feeling, pen it down. Writing about feelings whether sad or not can help in changing mood a lot. If you are angry on someone may be write a letter to him and do not send it. You will be relieved by writing down all those feelings.

Walk in Nature

Nature heals everything. If you are feeling low plan a long walk in nature or if you live in some populated, busiest city, plan a holiday somewhere in Nature. It will reduce negative thoughts. According to a report, a group of individual, based on men and women, was split into two, one was sent to a walk in Nature while other was sent to walk in city. The results show that the ones, who walked in nature had the positive experience than other group.
