We will prove, ‘Maryam is PM’s dependent’ ; says Imran

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said on Monday that he will show in the Supreme Court that Maryam Nawaz is the dependent of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Aaj News reported. 

Speaking to journalists in Bani Gala, Imran Khan said the prime minister was asking for two more weeks to submit documents which showed he was not ready.  “The government wants to delay the case by adding more people in it,” Khan claimed.

The PTI chairman stressed that the apex court had asked for quick replies as it wants to decide the case without any delay. “The Supreme Court has asked four questions, no commission is needed if they answer them,” Khan said.

The Supreme Court on Monday resumed the hearing of Panama Papers case, the Prime Minister’s children Maryam Nawaz, Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz submitted their reply.

It was reportedly stated in reply that Maryam Nawaz was a trustee of Nielsen and Nescom companies and she has not been a beneficiary of any off Shore Company.  He said, all the allegations levelled against Maryam Nawaz are baseless.

The reply further stated that Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz have been living outside Pakistan for 16 and 22 years, respectively. Their father Nawaz Sharif has no involvement in his children’s businesses as well as no connection with properties in London.

Maryam, Hassan and Hussain Nawaz are mature and adults, the reply stated.

Meanwhile on Monday,  Supreme Court asked PTI leaders Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen to submit their replies till Nov 15.

According to the reports, the petition was filed by Hanif Abbasi against PTI leaders. The hearing took place in Supreme Court and it was decided that the final decision will be taken later.

Hanif Abbasi said that they will accept the decision of the Top Court.
