Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday says defence and security of Pakistan against external and internal threats will remain his ultimate objective as Chief of Army Staff.
COAS General Bajwa while addressing the troops in North Waziristan said that, war against terrorism will continue with focused approach, and it will be taken to its logical conclusion.
We will continue to move ahead of the gains already made so far, said Army Chief Bajwa.
General Bajwa stressed the need to accelerate the pace of new raising of FC wings to enhance an effective Pak-Afghan border management.
While addressing the issue temporarily displaced persons’, He said that the TDPs return should be completed within specific time frame, adding to this, they should be assisted in all ways to resettle respectfully.
Earlier, the Chief of Army Staff visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar where he was given detailed briefing about prevailing security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and Malakand Division, ongoing stabilization and combing operations, progress in return of TDPs and continuing development works.
