A statement said that the `Pakistan State Oil hereby clarifies that no PSO storage tank caught fire and that all of PSO storage tanks, all products as well as the people operating the storage area are completely safe’.

It said that the fire and explosion incident that the media referred to occurred at M/s. Pakistan House International (PHI) methanol tank near PSO terminal/storage area.

Keeping in view the unfortunate incident with its neighboring PHI terminal, Pakistan State Oil extended all possible help and support to the fire extinguishing efforts.

PSO feels for the loss of PHI and pledges to offer its full support in the future as well should it be needed.
