India will face ‘consequences’ if it violates Indus Waters Treaty: Zakaria

Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria while talking to RadioPakistan on Friday says India will have to face consequences if it violates the Indus Waters Treaty.

World Bank is the guarantor of the agreement, and India cannot unilaterally withdraw from it, said Zakaria

He said that, action will be taken against India for any violations under international law as well because low riparian countries have their rights on water.
