Deliberate tageting of innocent civilians on LoC unacceptable: COAS

Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif chaired a special meeting at Corps Headquarters Rawalpindi on Wednesday to review the recent cease fire violation from India on Line of Control.

COAS said that, deliberate targeting of innocent civilians on the LoC is unprofessional and unacceptable.

The Army Chief appreciated morale of troops and the most befitting response given by them. He directed that any future violations must also get instant and effective response.

Designs to keep Karachi on the boil have been blunted: COAS

COAS is his address said that, life has returned to Karachi and business activity has picked up with its huge contribution to revival of national economy.

The Army Chief also pointed out that, designs to keep the metropolitan on the boil have been blunted and the gains cannot be allowed to reverse.

He further said that, integrated efforts to help build the capacity of civil law enforcing institutions must continue for sustainable peace.

General Raheel appreciated all ranks for maintaining vigilance along the international borders.

He lauded them for their significant successes in improving security situation of Karachi and interior Sindh.
