KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Saturday that the implementation of the earlier order to close wedding halls by 10pm and shops by 7pm is postponed till Feb 1, Aaj News reported.
According the spokesman of CM House, minister of Industries Manzoor Wassan conducted a meeting with the Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and informed him about the situation of the city. He told that the orders for early closure of the weddings halls cannot be implemented from Nov 1 as the halls have been booked till January 1.
“Such implementation would cause problems for people therefore order should be postponed,” the Chief Minister was told. Following the circumstances, CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah postponed the implementation of the earlier order regarding wedding halls and shops.
Earlier in October, the Sindh government in a cabinet meeting ordered to shut down shops by 07:00 pm and marriage halls by 10:00 pm in Sindh
Regarding the food served at wedding functions, he said that two meals – one gravy and one rice dish – and one sweet dish would be allowed.
