NEW DEHLI: Pakistan once again invited India for peaceful dialogue, said that dispute can only be resolved through serious and sustained diplomacy, Aaj News reported.
In an interview with an India newspaper, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, said that Jammu and Kashmir continues to be the core dispute between Pakistan and India. Pakistan strongly believe that this dispute can only be resolved through serious and sustained diplomacy.
Abdul Basit said that Pakistan hasn’t seen any activity on September 29, other than usual cross-LoC firing by Indian forces negating India’s claims of surgical strikes. Indian forces’ firing across LoC martyred two Pakistani soldiers, he added.
Abdul Basit further said that it is important to avoid drawing wrong conclusions and raising false expectations because it is not in our mutual interest.
