Five soldiers injured in Mohmand Agency IED blast

PESHAWAR: An improvised explosive device (IED) blast inured five security personals near Bilal Masjid, Kuz Chamarkand area, Tehsil Safi, Mohmand Agency, an official of the ISPR confirmed.

According to the official, five officials of the Frontier Corps were on routine patrolling in the area and when they reached near Bilal Masjid, Kuz Chamarkand area, Tehsil Safi, Mohmand Agency an Improvised Explosive Device planted on a road side went suddenly with a big bang, injuring then on the spot.

Soon after the blast, other officials of the security forces rushed on the spot and shifted the injured soldiers to Agency Headquarter Hospital Ghalanai, Mohmand Agency.

The injured soldiers were identified as Sep Qaiser Hayat of Utman Khail tribe, Sep Akbar Ullah, Sept Asad of Mualagori tribe, Sep Sada Muhammad of Diri Khail, Sep Noorzeb of Utman Khaila.

He said the officials of the security forces cordoned off the area and started search operation. The official also confirmed that all the five soldiers are in stable condition. -APP
