KASHMIR: The 69th founding day of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is being observed on Monday (Oct 24), with a firm pledge to continue struggle until liberation of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and acceding it to Pakistan.
The day dawned with 21 guns salute in Muzaffarabad. Special prayers were offered in mosques for integrity and prosperity of Pakistan and early liberation of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
It is public holiday throughout the state on Monday.
Functions, flag hoisting ceremonies, seminars and prayer ceremonies are being held in all district headquarters of the state to mark the day.
All the three stations of Azad Kashmir radio are airing special programmes to highlight significance of the day.
In his message on the occasion of 69th Founding Day of Azad Kashmir, Minister for Kashmir Affairs Barjees Tahir said Indian brutalities in Occupied Kashmir have failed to suppress the freedom struggle of Kashmiris.
The Minister said Kashmiri people are looking towards international community for justice and Indian double standard has threatened the peace in entire region.
The Minister said Pakistani government and people are stand by the Kashmiri people and assure full diplomatic, political and moral support.
