US Senator phones Zardari, discussed bilateral ties

KARACHI: United States (US) Senator John McCain telephoned former president and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari discussed bilateral ties and international issues on Saturday,  Aaj News reported. 

According to details, US Senator and Asif Ali Zardari discussed Indian brutality in Occupied Kashmir, bilateral ties and international issues on the phone. Zardari urged him to support Pakistan against Indian atrocities reportedly.

They also discussed Indian propaganda against Pakistan. Pakistan wants a peaceful resolution on Kashmir issue through dialogue and in accordance with the wishes of Kashmiris, said Zardari.

Zardari further said that dialogue between India and Pakistan is the only solution of the peaceful settelemnt of Kashmir issue.

The former President said that Pakistan itself was the victim of extremism and terrorism and will never support terrorism.  US Senator John McCain also acknowledged the sacrifices made by Pakistan against terrorism.
